This fall bucket list will help you make the most of the autumn season!
Fall seems to be the season that everyone loves, or can at the very least tolerate. The temperatures cool off a bit and everything just becomes cozier. No matter what your stance is on the season, there are also tons of activities and things to do during this time of year. Make the most of this fall bucket list by scheduling in certain items with friends and family. When you find pockets of free time during your normal routines, make sure to refer back to this fall bucket list to cross off some of the simpler items.
THE ULTIMATE FALL BUCKET LIST
- Go to a farmer’s market. Pick up some fresh seasonal produce or a delicious autumnal treat.
- Go to a fall festival. The Big E is huge here in New England and is definitely worth checking out!
- Go leaf peeping. It’s a well-known fact that New Hampshire is the best place to do this! Take a drive along the Kancamagus Highway for some seriously beautiful views.
- Stay at a hotel or AirBnb up in New England. What could be cozier than spending a weekend in a bed and breakfast or log cabin?
- Switch out your lighter bedding for heavier bedding. This down feather duvet from Crate and Barrel is insanely warm and a must for the colder months!
- Host a Friendsgiving.
- Make a fall-themed charcuterie board.
- Opt for dried florals over fresh flowers.
- Do some fall gardening. Consider putting down grass seed or planting spring bulbs.
- Host a football viewing party.
- Try new skincare products. Think about ultra-moisturizing products with thicker textures or items with fall scents.
- Visit a new-to-you coffee shop and get a fall-inspired drink and pastry.
- Get professional family pictures taken for your Christmas/holiday cards.
- Buy some mums for your front step/porch or patio.
- DIY a Halloween costume.
- Get a manicure and/or pedicure with fall colored nail polish.
- Go apple picking. This is a classic! Be sure to make an apple dessert afterwards with your spoils.
- Go pumpkin picking. Another classic, be sure to partake in any fun activities hosted by the pumpkin patch you’re visiting!
- Go ziplining for an awesome view of the fall foliage. The picture in this post is of me and my family from a few years ago! We went ziplining at Berkshire East Moutain Resort in Charlemont, MA in October and witnessed the most gorgeous foliage as we zipped over the trees!
- Paint or carve pumpkins. My best friend and I have a yearly tradition of painting pumpkins while enjoying some takeout and a girly movie!
- Go on a hayride.
- Make pumpkin seeds.
- Rake leaves. Embrace your inner child and jump in the pile afterwards!
- Buy a fall scented candle.
- Enjoy your morning beverage outside cuddled up in a big sweatshirt or sweater.
- Make cozy meals, such as stews or chilis. This lentil soup is my absolute favorite autumn meal!
- Put up holiday decorations (think: Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc.)
- Bake a homemade apple pie or apple crisp.
- Swap your iced coffee out for a warm beverage, like a pumpkin spice latte.
- Go trick or treating.
- Try making a new side dish for your Thanksgiving feast.
